Description:
A small earthenware mug printed in blue underglaze with a transitional Chinoiserie pattern with a TCC assigned name Chinese Figures and Large Flowers. In this pattern, a Chinese lady holding a parasol stands with her arm around a child in a garden setting. In the background is an elaborate fence that extends the length of the pattern. They appear to be observing a jardiniere with large flowers. On the left is another Chinese woman, perhaps intended to the the servant, playing a musical instrument. A panoramic view of the pattern is provided.
Condition: Very Good. A tiny glaze chip can be found on the exterior border.
