Description:
This large globular shaped jug is printed in blue underglaze with the Standard Willow pattern. Apart from its size, what makes this jug quite unusual is the Chinoiserie style border rarely seen with the Standard Willow pattern. The Floral border contains cartuoches with a Chinoiserie genre scene that includes one standing figure holding the parasol for a second seated figure. Rounded loop handle.
Condition:  Very Good: Professional restoration to the spout and a spider crack  in the glaze only on the underside of the jug.
