Description:
An earthenware molded jug printed in blue underglaze with an unidentified Romantic period Chinoiserie pattern. A blue ground was painted on molded portions of the handle and was used to add, in script, the name “John Poulson”. Printed on the base are the words “A Present for John” with the painted letter P added.
Condition:
Very good. Minor restoration to a couple of chips on the interior rim.
