Description:
An earthenware footed guglet printed in blue with the Two Temples II, Variation Broseley pattern. The guglet is a long-necked vessel used to store water or wine before it is served. The name is of Anglo-Indian origin, but is also thought to descriptive of the sound liquid makes when it is poured and “glugs” out. This rare item is documented in R&R Halliday’s book, “Extraordinary Transferware”, p. 87. pattern.
Condition:  Very Good. No damage or restoration. Very minor tanning at the top of the neck and in the foot.
