Description:
A group of garniture items printed in blue underglaze with the Buffalo pattern, Variation Feathered Heads with a Lattice border. Group consists of one baluster jar without lid and three spill vases. This version of the Buffalo pattern is distinct because of the feather hats worn by the three figures. These are attributed to Spode based on known Spode Workman’s mark. See Copeland, Spode’s Willow Pattern and Other Designs after the Chinese, page 116, for an example of this pattern.
Condition: Good. Some with minor glaze loss and a few professionally restored chips.
