Description:
An earthenware octagonal shaped plate in the Full Nankin pattern. Unusual stylized border with butterflies and urns interrupted with a gate motif. The pattern originated at Caughley on porcelain. This plate design was line engraved. The use of different borders as well as several different variations in the center pattern on earthenware suggest that more than one potter made it.
Condition: Good condition with 3 small rim chips.
