Description:
An earthenware dinner plate printed in blue with the Elephant and Howdah pattern. This pattern is line-engraved. This plate was purchased from the Pulver Colletion. It is the actual piece illustrated in “Blue-Printed Earthenware 1800-1850” by A.W. Coysh (1972), page 32. It was in the Pulver Collection from 1972 to 2008, when I purchased it.
Condition: Good: Two chips on the edge of the plate restored. One at 11 o’clock and one at 1 o’clock.
