Description:
An indented earthenware dessert or tea plate printed in blue underglaze in the “Feathered Hat” pattern. This pattern can be found on a variety of pieces — mostly dinnerware. The name of the pattern is derived from the little feather at the top of the figure on the bridge. Maker unknown. An example is illustrated in True Blue: Case 2, no. 7. The alternate name came from T. G. Cannon’s book “Old Spode” and described as a Blue and White Dessert Plate printed with Oriental Garden and Pagoda scene.
