This earthenware plate was printed with the Forest Landscape I pattern. This early Spode pattern was used on dinner ware. Forest Landscape I was the first of two versions of this pattern and can be identified by the simpler style of engraving and the lack of shading on the garden surrounding the house. The pattern was introduced before 1800.  The border is the same as found on the Rock pattern.
