Description:
An earthenware dinner plate with a quirky scene set in a slightly Eastern landscape with an apparently angry lion advancing towards two fleeing figures. Look at the additional image to see the detail of the lion. He is beautifully printed. A horse with rider can be seen on a hillside to the upper left of the lion. The floral border has several small cartouches with scenes from the main picture.
Condition: Very good.
