Description:
This pattern is known on  dinner and dessert ware. Blue enameling was added to the plate resulting in a remarkably different appearance from the color enameling found on most examples in this pattern. The center design is framed with a bold border design consisting of large alternating floral medallions between which are smaller medallions featuring birds that are, in turn, interspersed with leaves all placed on a chintz-like background of small flowers.  The name assigned to this pattern may be misleading as it is uncertain whether it is tea or a medicinal concoction being prepared.
Condition: Very good.
