Description:
A fluted earthenware open sugar with molded handles and a scalloped rim printed with the Buffalo pattern and an outer and inner rosette motif, six-petal border. Gilt decoration.  The maker is unknown. For similar examples see Copeland, Spode’s Willow Pattern and Other Designs after the Chinese, page 116, and for an example of this pattern.
Condition: Very Good. Other than normal wear to the gilt trim, this piece is very sound.
