Description:
A  molded handled tray printed with the Chinese Men in a Garden pattern. The pattern features two Chinese men walking in a garden. Large-leaf plants are at their feet and oriental trees drape down overhead, framing the scene above. The same large leaves are repeated in the border design. The pattern is printed twice indicating that it was originally engraved for a different item. Molded scroll shaped handles painted with a blue ground. The pattern is attributed to Davenport with marked examples documented in the TCC database.
