Description:
An earthenware footed punch bowl. This is a most unusual variation of the Standard Willow pattern. The center pattern and inner framing border are examples of the Standard Willow pattern, however, the wide border with linear pattern on the inside and outside of the bowl is not common to the Standard Willow pattern. The TCC database as assigned the pattern name to this variation and documents another pattern with Enchanted Chinese Garden Border.  Please note that the term “punch bowl” was a common term used for bowls of this size, as well as larger ones,  during this period.
Condition: Very good. There is a  small firing crack on the foot, visible in the image and a small amount of wear to the interior of the bowl.
