An early pearlware octagon shaped plate in the Full Nankin pattern. Blue under glaze printed. Line engraved. 9.5″ in diameter. c 1790-1800. The pattern originated at Caughley on porcelain. It was line engraved. The maker of this plate is unknown. This rare plate is marked “York House” on the underside with the name of the residence or public house for which it was made.
