Description:
A footed pearlware punch bowl. Printed in black underglaze with a line engraved version of Pillement’s design, plate 8 in “Recueil de Plusieurs Jeux d’Enfants Chinois”. It has an impressed mark “J.W” on the exterior of the foot of the bowl. The maker has not been identified. The designer of this version was quite faithful to Pillement’s design but chose to add a flock of birds to the scene.

Condition: Good. 2 inside chips and 2 hairline cracks to the foot of the bowl
