Description:
A named and dated round earthenware container with lid printed in blue underglaze with an unrecorded pattern assigned the name Parasol and Drapery. The name Robert Yool and the date 1844 are hand painted with brown enamel on the lid. This unusual item has the image of a crane printed on the inside of the lid and two musicians on the inside of the container. Bold geometric border printed on the side of the circular box.
Condition:
Good. Professional restoration completed on the inner rim and base. There is a visible hairline also on the base. Some staining that a professional cleaning was not able to remove.
