A small earthenware custard cup in blue underglaze transfer printed Lange Lijzen pattern, with molded heart-shaped handles.
This shape if found in the Spode pattern book which describes two sizes of this form of custard cup. The pattern name is Dutch and it means “slender damsel.” Alternative names are “Long Eliza” and “Jumping Boy.”
Condition: Very good.
