Description:
An earthenware custard stand printed underglaze in blue with the Standard Willow pattern. Designed to hold six covered custard cups the stand has circular molded stands for each cup and an elevated center stand. This form is documented in by Drakard, David and Holdway, Paul in Spode Transfer Printed Ware 1784-1833. Antique Collector’s Club, Inc. 2002, page 273, S121.
