Description:
A rare and large earthenware punch pot measuring 12 inches in height. Printed in dark brown and hand painted in warm colors underglaze in the Boy on a Ram pattern . Acanthus leaf and rib molded spout. Floral and leaf border. The pot is attributed to the Swinton Pottery, Greens Bingley period. A matching example is documented in The Yorkshire Potteries by John D. Griffin, page 95, plate 126.
Condition: Very Good: A small chip to the spout, and two small chips to the underside of the lid.
