Description:
A medium sized earthenware Toby mug printed with the Standard Willow pattern on tri-corner hat and jacket and with multi-color hand painted overglaze surfaces on the remainder of the body. Unmarked but attributed to Sampson Smith, Longton, England. This is a later example of Smith’s Toby mugs. Decoration is not as detailed and colors vary slightly from the earlier examples (F001-F003).  Pink britches, green vest and ocher bandana. Character holds a jug of ale.
Condition: Very good condition. This example has the original cover.
