Description:
An earthenware jug printed in blue underglaze with a blue ground added. Overglaze clobbering in rust, yellow, green, and pink. A second garden scene is printed on the opposite side and in a cartouche under the spout are symbols of the British Empire: England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The “JC Opaque China” mark may be attributed to John Carey. c. 1823-1842.
Condition: Very Good. Only one firing flaw on one side of the jug.
