Description:
An engine turned earthenware jug with an underglaze blue printed pattern known as Fountain and Statue House. Examples of this pattern are found on tea wares and other hollow ware but are unmarked. The pattern is possibly Cambrian due to matches with known Cambrian pottery shapes, however, it is unmarked. The jug’s pattern consists of a formal looking fountain, a summer house with a statue, on the bottom right a figure in reserve, and 3 figures center bottom.
Condition: Good: One small restoration to the base and a very small chip or rub to the spout.
