Description:
An earthenware jug printed in blue underglaze with ochre enameling to the rim and around the collar. Gilt framing around the coat of arms printed underglaze below the spout. Molded acanthus leaf handle. The unidentified crest or coat of arms consists of three lion heads below and above a cheron in which are small figures. One full lion sits atop the sheild. The sheild is surrounded by a floral garland. Gilt floral sprays added to the collar of the jug. The exterior border is the Full Nankin border. The interior border is of a diaper design. This version of the Long Bridge pattern is attributed to Swansea.
Condition: Very Good. Professional restoration to a small hole in the body and cleaning.
