Description:
An earthenware cylindrical mug printed in blue underglaze with the Chinoiserie Ruins pattern. The mug’s rim is enameled in brown. This was a popular pattern and many examples marked Davenport have been found. Two are in this collection. Similar patterns were also made by Job Ridgway, Rogers, Stevenson, and Dillwyn & Co.
Condition: Good. One 2 inch hairline from the rim downward.
