Description:
An earthenware cylindrical mug printed in blue with an unidentified Chinoiserie pattern. Engine turned. The number 8 was printed at the base of the handle terminal. The piece has be heavily stapled. Purchased as a curiosity piece. The significance of the number 8 has not been determined. Perhaps it indicates the liquid capacity of the mug.
Condition: Good. Vertical 2.5 ” firing line at the center base of the mug
