An earthenware soup plate printed with the Blue Bamboo pattern. This pattern is also known as “Chinese Vase.” The central focal point is a Chinese musician seated within a large vase and playing a mandolin. The vase sits on a large table in a garden and is surrounded by a large flower on the right and tall stylized bamboo plants on both sides. The double border consists of a floral pattern in the outer band and a geometric pattern on the inner band. The pattern was engraved by William Brookes for Wedgwood & Co. in 1805.
Condition: Very Good: As if never used.
