Description:
An indented earthenware plate. The pattern is a variation of the Buddleia pattern with the addition of a pair of doves found on the Standard Willow pattern and three additional flowering branches on the Buddeia Lindleyana from which the pattern gets its name. Also added to this pattern version is a rock formation and a little “double decker” island at the top of the center pattern next to the doves. The other Buddleia patterns end with the two tall narrow trees on the right end of the island. Additionally, contrary to the Buddleia pattern in which the figure in reserve does not hold anything, the figure in reserve in this pattern holds an object tied to a pole. Butterfly border.
Condition: Very Good. Minor rubbing on the edge.
