Description:
An earthenware dinner plate printed in blue underglaze with the Chinese Fishermen pattern. The pattern incorporates numerous Chinoiserie elements but the central focus is on the tall standing figure wearing an unusual turban-like striped hat and holding a fish and a pole upon which hangs a basket. This figure is accompanied by two other seated fishermen. Another unusual feature is the flowering cactus that grows on top of a rock in the upper left side of the pattern.
Condition: Very Good: Minor staining on one small section on the front and some on the back (see images).
