Description:
An earthenware dessert plate printed in blue underglaze in the Chinese Flag Bearers pattern which is based on a Chinese original design. This is a known Davenport pattern with an example found with impressed DAVENPORT. Most pieces are unmarked; however it has also been found with an asterisk and the letter W, as documented in Friends of Blue Bulletin #108, p. 11-12.
