Description:
An earthenware plate printed with the Ornate Pagodas pattern. Unmarked, but may be attributed to Richard Woolley, Longton, Staffordshire. See a 19-inch well and tree meat dish with Woolley impressed mark also in this collection. Pattern contains three ornately decorated pagodas with C-scrolls and other western motifs. This pattern is also attributed to Taylor, Harrison & Co., Castleford and a documented Herculaneum Pottery version is also known.
Condition: Very good.
