An indented side or dessert plate printed in blue and in rust red underglaze with overglaze red enameling and gild decoration. The central design for this pattern, printed in blue was taken from a Chinese Export hand-painted pattern known as Inclined Pines. The pattern closely resembles Spode’s Parasol Figure pattern. Spode used a crisp, vivid blue for this example and the pattern was used on a stone china body as the mark indicates. The outer border is the Butterfly pattern with an inner honeycomb design for the inner border.
