Description:
This attractive earthenware pierced stand was printed in blue underglaze with over the glaze enameling in several colors. The structure on the right comes from a source print titled “Hotun on the Canton River”. The boat in the foreground comes from a second print titled “South West View of Canton”. The source, if any, of the structure on the left is unknown. See Friends of Blue #80, p. 4 and #97, p. 10. The pattern illustrated in “True Blue”, case 2, #2.
Condition: Good. Just to minor chips to the underside.
