Description:
An exceptionally fine example of a late 18th century pearlware meat dish printed with a line-engraved Conversation pattern and border. This example is considered rare given it’s early date and fine condition. This version of the Conversation pattern is decorated with the border pattern commonly found on the Full Nankin pattern, examples of which are marked by Thomas Wolfe. The small impressed horn-like symbol on the back is likely a presser’s mark.
Condition: Very fine condition. This late 18th century is museum quality.
