Description:
An earthenware platter. Marked examples by ADAMS exist while this example is unmarked. Known to have been printed in medium blue, green and in a clobbered version. The central pattern consists of a center medallion of peonies, rocks and willow-like shrubs. The medallion is surrounded by a wide floral border with peonies and an outer lappet border. the pattern was used for tableware.
Condition: Good. One 1/2″ hairline to rim and another 2″ hairline only in the glaze on the underside. One small firing flaw on the front edge.
