Description:
This molded and hand-reticulated piece is the base of a two-piece potpourri jar. At least two complete examples are known. The cover would have been reticulated with a artichoke-shaped finial. The basket weave design has been hand-carved. It is printed with the Bridgeless Chinoiserie border pattern.
