Description:
A molded pearlware pocket vase with pedestal printed in underglaze blue with the “Standing Fisherman with Knotted Line” pattern. An alternate name is “Buddhist Temple and Fisherman.” It is related to a pattern with a “Seated Fisherman with Knotted Line”, also by maker unknown. FOB Bulletins #119/9 and 122/5 illustrate the pattern with the Alternate name given above.
Condition: Good. Small underglaze chip to base. Minor restoration to two small chips on top edge of vase.
