Description:
An earthenware punch bowl.  Printed in the interior of the bowl is The Angry Swans pattern.  The bowl’s rim is enameled in brown. The wide inner border pattern is a combination of floral and large fans. A small drop and dagger inner border surrounds the central pattern. A second Chinoiserie pattern, Willow Nankin, is printed twice on the outside of the bowl. The Swans pattern is known to be used on punch bowls and monteiths. An alternate pattern name is “Swans and Bulrushes.”  This pattern is recorded in the TCC Pattern Database.
Condition: Very Good. Minor wear to the inside of the bowl with on small glaze chip.
