Description:
A large earthenware punch bowl printed in blue underglaze with the Octagonal Chinoiserie pattern. This pattern is recorded in the TCC database. Two octagonal borders, one large and one small, enclose the center pattern on this 10″ bowl. Two scenes in the borders are repeated both inside and outside. The plant scene in the border seems to relate to this pattern; however, the other scene does not.
