Description:
An early pearlware teapot printed in blue underglaze with the Long Bridge pattern. The rim of the cape, the spout, and the handle on the teapot are all enameled in brown. The handle and teapot body are molded. Similar shapes of unattributed teapots can be found in Miller and Berthoud’s An Anthology of British Teapots, p. 71, plates 421 and 425. This pattern is recorded in the TCC Pattern Database. Provenance: The Pulver Collection.
Condition: Very Good. One tiny chip to the spout. No restoration.
