An early porcelain oval shaped teapot with fluted body. Transfer printed with the Pavilion pattern (also known as 1798 Pagodas) with gilt trim. The pattern was inspired by a Chinese Original. Very similar to Miller plate 1052. The pattern is found on tea wares as well as a jug with the date 1798.
Condition: In very good condition Small amount of wear to the gilt trim. Cover, while a perfect pattern and trim match, does not sit perfectly on the pot (same characteristic as in the Miller example).
