Description:
Very nice Caughley porcelain teapot in the Chinese shape  decorated with an underglaze blue transfer printed Pagoda or Two Temples II, variation Broseley pattern with gilt trim. Alternative pattern names are: Broseley, Pagoda.

For a similar example see Godden’s Guide to English Blue and White Porcelain, plate 571, p. 455, and color plate 119. “The teapot form is copied from Chinese prototypes.” The pattern was used mainly on tea services at Caughley and other factories near the beginning of the 19th century. I have illustrated it here with two other matching pieces.
Condition:  Very good. One possible restoration on body or kiln burn.
