Description:
This example of the Forest Landscape II pattern is printed in blue underglaze on an earthenware round indented hot water or warming plate. It is a re-engraved second version of this pattern and can be distinguished from its predecessor, Forest Landscape I, by the increased shading in the garden area that surrounds the house. It shares the same border as that used in Spode’s Rock pattern. It is marked with Copeland’s mark No. 36, a mark rarely seen.
Condition: Very good.
