Description:
An earthenware coffee pot printed in blue with the Toy Chinamen pattern. This pattern is found on tea and coffee wares. A teapot with impressed “ROGERS” is known. The pattern consists of two small Chinese figures, one with an umbrella, a small dog, trees and buildings. This miniature framed pattern is repeated on the neck of the pot and, in a reduced form, on the spout. An additional leaf and scroll design are found in oval-shaped panels and on the pedestal base and lid. Both design elements are framed by an overall chintz-like pattern.  A signed Rogers plate can also be found in this collection, see P157.
Condition:  Professional restoration to a chip on the rim of the lid.
