Description:
An early silver shaped earthenware teapot printed in blue with an assigned name: Lady with Parasol and Child. Floral border. Widow finial and scalloped rising cape enameled in brown. It has a ribbed spout, and the body has broad rounded pilasters. The figures stand in a garden near a European style house. Documented in the Directory of Teapots, p. 83, plate 498.
Condition: Very good. Small chip to the handle that was professionally restored.
