Description:
Very nice porcelain Worcester teapot, kettle shape, printed with the Worcester Willow pattern with gilt trim added. Alternate names for the pattern are Full Willow and Royal Worcester Willow Pattern. The handle was molded with a pattern to suggest a reed handle. The pot sits on three gilded feet. Mark is “P”, indicates theyear 1879. Pot mold was probably patterned after a Chinese teapot form. 7″ high. This is pattern number B389, known as willow. The same pattern with pattern number B446 is listed in the pattern books as Full Willow. On Crown Ware (earthenware), this pattern, number D33, is listed as The Royal Worcester Willow Pattern.
Condition: Very good condition with one tiny, tiny chip in spout and minor wear to gilting on handle.
